i now remember why i've always hated school. so many hoops to jump through in order to prove you can be trained.

getting there's still the hardest part though. once i'm actually in class, i guess i just numb up until it's over.

it is nice to be drawing again though. interesting being one of the older people in class too

one of my bands (www.myspace.com/4orty5iveschicago) is playing in the Emergenza festival on saturday (9/16) at the Note, in Chicago. sorry for such shit-short notice.

it's a competition thing, that's judged by a show of hands. you can "vote" for as many bands as you like. hell, you may not even vote for us if you show up.

we're playing with a bunch of metal bands, so we may get originality points, but who knows. at the door they'll ask you who you came to see. correct answer: 4orty 5ives (winkwink)

the show starts at 6, with bands playing every 25 minutes until the last band ends at midnight. we play at 11. i guess it's a little expensive ($10 advance, $15 door) but it's not our doing. if you stay for the whole thing though, 9 unsigned local bands might be worth $15, right?

so if you've no plans for world take-over tomorrow night, come on out. show some love. it'll be fun. if it's not, we'll come to one of your fucking shows
