I've decided to do some blog homework, since I saw @rambo post the new topic, and it's been on my mind lately.
She asked what's on our summer reading lists, and I admit, sadly, that I am not as much of a reader as I used to be. I did however, just pick up a copy of The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test finally.
It's a book that has been on my reading list for a minimum of 10 years, but never managed to get my hands on, until it popped up on my amazon account and I bought it on a whim/out of guilt for not reading more. Even though I don't do hallucinogens anymore, and did not do them a lot when I did, I am fascinated with the 60s and 70s. And naturally, being a Grateful Dead fan, EVERYONE told me to read this book, and has been telling me to read this book, forever. I am not too far in but I am definitely not disappointed. I've known about Keasey and his Merry Pranksters, but I am enjoying reading the book. And it's a nice reminder to have FUN.
But what should I read next is the better question.
I have 2 books on deck that have been on deck for a while now. 1984,which i've been meaning to re-read, since it's been 10+ years, and Asimov's Robots and Empire. I will probably go for the Robots and Empire first, because Asimov is such a fun, quick read for me. And i've been thinking more about going back to read his Foundation Series again, because it's fantastic. If you like Scifi, I highly recommend it. If you're interested in humanity, and science, and history and psychology, I highly recommend it.
Otherwise, I am open to suggestions! I haven't read much since college, so let me know what you're reading.
Until next time,
