When I was young, all I wanted a chick with a pretty face and nice ass who like sex. As I got older, I wanted a woman I enjoyed being with, had common interests, I enjoyed spending time with. The past couple years, all I want most of the time is a chick under 27 with a pretty face, nice ass, and nice boobs or nice abs who likes sex.
I blame it partially upon happily married older people telling me I'm young, "what the hell do you want to get married for?" and not caring if I have sex with a coworker because my job involves changing hospitals every 2 to 3 months.

Yesterday was my last day living in the same county in Pennsylvania that has been my home since 1979. I lived in several places in the area and there is one house that is the place I think of when I think of home. Sure, I moved away several times, to go to college, temporary travel assignments for work, long term travel assignments for work, etc..., but it wasn't permanent. Its official, I'm no longer a Northampton County resident. I left the small part of Pennsylvania where my family has lived since 1740. From now on, I'm going to move every 3 to 6 months and go wherever work sends me until I either go back to school or find someone or something that makes it worth staying in one place.
Its about time I got rid of my apartment since I'm only there a few days a month. What's the point of paying for rent and utilities on a place where my stuff sits without me most of the time?
I donated quite a bit of furniture, some appliances, and a ton of clothes to the Salvation Army. The few things I wanted to keep I put in storage and I took a smaller portion of my stuff with me.
Sure, I'll go back to visit my friends in the area, stop by a few favorite pubs and restaurants, and also get some great food items that can only be purchased locally, but I don't think I'll be going back to live there any time soon or ever again.

Earlier tonight, I went with some friends to see the original Ghostbusters movie at a local movie theater. I can remember seeing it when it was first released. It brings back some good memories of trips to the local theater to see movies such as The Empire Strikes, Back, Return of the Jedi, ET, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and so many more.
Apparently we are suppose to get snow this weekend? Snow already? I guess the snow tires are going on the car soon.

I felt disappointed in myself all day because I couldn't remember the names of the three people I knew that died 10 years ago on two separate aircraft on 9/11/01. I remember it was a woman I knew through the SCCA(Sports Car Club of America) that Drove a Civic Si and her boyfriend and on another plane was a guy I knew through SCCA events. I didn't know them really well, but I did notice that they were missing. A year later, I stopped going to SCCA events and didn't think about them much until recently.
Its odd that I can remember so much detail about that day, but the details of people I didn't know were gone until days or weeks later I can't remember much about.

I've done some stupid things when I was tired and hungry in the past. Tonight I did another one. I preheated the oven while watching Lost Girl. For some reason I thought I put the lasagna in the oven while watching the show. I continued watching the show, got a shower, and after I dried off and got dressed, I opened the oven to check on the lasagna to find an empty oven.
I was a bit confused for a moment until I looked up on the kitchen counter to see the lasagna sitting there, uncooked. Somehow I forgot to put the lasagna in the oven. Looks like I'm eating dinner rather late tonight.

Its wonderful when unplanned things work out in amazing ways.
Last year I was dating a woman, Rhonda, who had commitment issues. She got married really young, her husband was an abusive asshole, and it ended in a divorce a few years later. Ever since then she decided she doesn't want to get married again and doesn't want to be with one person for any extended period of time. She didn't want us to see other people, but wouldn't say we were in a relationship. Our six months together was her longest "relationship" since her divorce and in some ways it didn't end well. Occasionally she bring up that we should start seeing each other again, but as soon as I bring up "Do you mean dating or a relationship this time?" the conversation changes topic. We are still friendly and have some mutual friends, but I do go out of my way to talk to her.
Today, I showed up early to a friend's labor day party. Most of the outdoor parties were rained out, but Rob(who is a professional photographer) decided to have a small group of people over for some BBQ ribs and chicken. I showed up a little early and one of Rob's other guests, Olya(I think her real name is Olga and Olya is a nickname) the eastern European model he was recently doing a photo shoot with, goes nuts over my car. Apparently she loves Ford Mustangs and also the movie Bullitt. When Rob mentioned that he was running low on BBQ sauce and he swore he had another bottle, but couldn't find it, I volunteered to go to the store and get more. Of course, Olya wanted to come along so she could get a ride in my car. I really couldn't turn down a beautiful 5'10" blonde woman who wanted to ride in my car now could I?
As we were walking through the grocery store, Olya mentioned how much she likes the stores here because of the wide variety of things she didn't get back home, except the Perohy's here aren't good and duck is harder to find here in most stores. I told her that she will have to make me some home made Perohy's. Olya said she would cook anything for me as we were rounding the end of an aisle and we ran into Rhonda. Well almost literally ran into Rhonda because she was walking while looking down at her list. Rhonda is pretty attractive herself, but when she saw me with Olya, she did a double take. I said Hi to Rhonda and introduced her to Olya. I mentioned we were out to pick up something for a party and were headed back soon. Rhonda mentioned she was getting a few things for a party too. We said out goodbyes and went our separate ways.
Olya remarked to me as we were in the next aisle that Rhonda didn't seem happy to see me and I told Olya that Rhonda was a woman I dated for a while. Olya then said to me, "Does that mean if we see her again, I should touch you in an inappropriate way to make her jealous?" I laughed a little. I love the way this woman thinks, but I didn't take it seriously.
As we were leaving the store, Olya handed me the bag with the BBQ sauce and leaned closer to whisper into my ear, "That Rhonda is behind us, put your hand on my ass." I couldn't resist that invitation and put my arm around Olya and slowly slid my hand down over the back of her shorts as we walked out of the store. When we got to my car, I opened the door for Olya. Olya said to me, "She is still watching us." as she leaned in and gave me a quick kiss before she sat down in the car.
On the way home Olya asked me if we did a good job of making Rhonda jealous. I got my answer a few minutes after we got back to Rob's house and I received a text from a friend asking who is the new hottie girlfriend. Apparently Ronda is upset because she thinks I have someone new in my life that is really good looking and can cook.
I typically don't care what the women I previously dated think, but I have to say it was fun

I did over 16 hours of driving recently and decided to listen to audio books along the way. One of them was Men are from mars, Women are from Venus. Its a book originally form the early 1990's about relationships and the differences between men and women. It reminded me of this example I saw a long time ago about the differences between Men and Women.
HER DIARY :
Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird.
We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it.
Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong; he said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior. I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent.
Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. To my surprise, he responded to my caress, and we made love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

I have a two part environmental dilemma. I know that CFL bulbs are “better” for the environment because they use less electricity for the same light output. However, they contain mercury, which is really bad for the environment. I tried looking around and I can’t find any place locally that recycles CFL bulbs. I also don’t feel comfortable throwing them out because they will end up in local landfills and the mercury will eventually find its way into ground water and local rivers and lakes. We already have too much mercury in the local bodies of water here. So do I stop buying CFL bulbs until there is a good recycling solution available or do I keep buying them and hope that by the time they burn out, we have a good recycling solution available?
Part two is that I have tried many different brands and color temperatures of CFL bulbs and for some areas, I just can’t use them. For example, I have two lights in areas that get cold. One area is outside my front door and the other at the bottom of the stairs going to the garage and laundry area. It gets too cold outside during winter to use a CFL. It just never lights up some nights or it takes forever to light up. The one at the bottom of the stairs takes a long time to light up when its cold too. So I need incandescent bulbs for those locations. Another location is in my living room. I have a tall lamp that uses a 3 way bulb. I went out and bought a “daylight” color temperature 3 way bulb to replace the 3 way incandescent bulb I had in that lamp. Even though the CFL rated at the same lumens (light output) as the incandescent bulb, it didn’t light up as much of the room as the incandescent bulb. So I tried another brand of 3 way CFL bulb that was also rated at the same lumens as the original incandescent bulb. It was a more expensive, widely recognized name brand that is known for making light bulbs. I ran into the same issue, its still not as bright as the incandescent 3 way bulb. There are corners of the room that are dark. It looks like the only way I can get the same brightness in a CFL is if I buy one rated at a higher wattage than the incandescent its replacing. However, I haven’t found any 3 way CFL’s that are rated at higher than 150 watts or rated at higher lumens than the bulbs I bought.
