So, I have a livejournal and mostly I just post in there but I figure that it might be a good idea to give people here at SG an idea of who I am so you'll want to meet me and hang out. I used to mostly just hang out at home with my boyfriend, but, as I mentioned in my last post, I no longer have one of those. I've only recently upgraded from depressed to sad about that.
Now, on to my attempt to tell you who I am. I'm from southwestern Virginia where there are mountains and Hardees and not a whole hell of a lot of traffic. Now I live in Northern Virginia where none of that is true. I moved here about three years ago to be with the aforementioned boyfriend. I had been interested in living near DC since my senior trip there in high school, so I'm happy to be here even though it's not quite as amazing as I thought it would be. I think part of the reason it's not as amazing as I thought is a combination of the absolutely horrible traffic and the fact that I've not really had the means to go out and about a lot since I've been here. That may or may not change in the near future.
If I did have the means to go out I would want to go to raves and other such places that play EDM, or rock shows. I like all kinds of music, but those are the types I can dance to. Well, those and the celtic music the Rogues play at Ren Fair. I also like other more mundane activities like going to movies and eating out. I like camping and being outside in general too.
The only hobby that I am currently active in is D&D. I have two different groups that I play with. One is kind of on a break right now, but once it starts back up my Sunday and Monday evenings are pretty much covered. Other stuff I know how to do and enjoy are reading, knitting, cooking, painting (miniatures and on paper/canvas), writing and I'm sure there's more that isn't coming to mind right now.
