well hello sg i am writing you from the 2nd floor of our house in eleuthera bahamas which looks a little something like this
last night after we settled in we went out to eat at a place called sunset inn and i had one of the best pork chops ever then after we crashed because we both were exhausted from the trip down (3 flights that took about 4 hours combined but layovers and security checks that took about 6 hours which started at 4 am)
day 1
this morning we woke up refreshed and went to the water and found our mascot for the week
we call him crazy after one of our poker buddies
so today we are just chillin going swimming and lounging watching the world go by
well more later have a good evening
day 2
went to northside of island and saw the sights such as glass window bridge
and preachers cave
and a little shopping then on way back went to marks grill burgers and had a fantastic cheeseburger then came home had some drinks and a smim and called it an evening
day 3
went to a place called island farms for breakfast
then went across queens highway at our house to a private beach on the atlantic side of island .
after returning from the beach we were chillin at the house and about 3pm we got our first rain shower since we been here.so i striped down and took a natural shower right there in the yard and it felt awesome my wife then decided to take a little nap before dinner and i went for a swin in the bay. for dinner we went here

day 4
more laid back today we woke up and went smimming in the morning then pretty much just laid around and relaxed at the house until 3. at that point we hopped into our rental and cruised north first to govoners harbor for a little shopping then a little further north to this place
its called rainbow inn a very nice place overlooking rainbow bay
our waitress jen took this for us after she brought us our dinner

it was the best food yet then we came home and when we turned in our drive we came across our potcake(which is what locals call a stray dog) so we stopped and my wife fed him some of her leftovers then we went on to our house not aware that the potcake followed us the roughly 1/2 mile to our drive we came inside and thought he would go back home but instead he came around to the back and walked up our spirial staircase to say hello so we gave him some leftover steak we had from 2 days ago and some water and sent him on his way
day 5
i woke up and went to the water just relaxing when below me i saw this
i know its kind of tough to see but that is a giant sea turtle
we swam in the bay most of the morning then we loaded up the truck and headed south went through a few towns but were heading as far south as we could go the last 3-4 miles on roads like this
till we got here
lighthouse beach we spent the whole day there walking the shore swimming in the ocean and just sitting watching the waves come in on the way back we stopped here
northside resturant it is a local woman (rosie) who has a resturant as part of her home and here is the view from the back deck
i also made a friend there his name is joey
she also had a dog named teddy the food was very good and rosie was the most hospitipal woman she was going to be going somewhere in less than an hour but stayed to fix our diner.
when we came home the potcake followed us home again so my wife gave him her leftovers from rainbow inn the night before
day 6
not as much to report today.we woke up went smimming and laid around the house all day then we went to a place called cocodimamas for dinner

after dinner it was party time in govenors harbour at the friday fish fry
music was playing drinks were flowing and a good time was had by alland was givin a rating of
2 thumbs up
now the bad news tommorrow we leave the island to fly over to nassau to lay over to catch our flight to miami which leaves at 6 am sunday morning then home we will probably do a last smim in the morning before we finish our packing and go to the airport. i hope whoever may read this enjoyed it half as much as i enjoyed posting and experiencing it

In my last blog I mentioned me and my lovely wifes 5th anniversary and how we spent our weekend at a casino near home .Well on march 17th we leave to go on our real anniverasy trip to ......wait for it.....the bahamas. We have rented a private house on eleuthera island for the week which includes a private drive a private beach front and a private diving board into tarpum bay. We are both so stoked for this trip we cant stand it.I will of course include pics once we get back.Hope everyone is well in sg land
some said it would not last but as of friday july 1st me and my wonderful darlin wife will be married for 5 years.we are going to stay at horshoe casino indiana thursday-saturday to celebrate and play some poker.

well hello sg hope everyone had fun over halloween weekend and a safe one as well
well coming up for me weekend of 13 and 14 because i am a kentucky colonel me and my wife are going to churchill downs for kentucky colonels day at the races .the whole sixth floor (which is known as millionares row) is being reserved for all kentucky colonels and there guests tickets were limited and on a first come first served basis which me and my wife jumped all over and are taking 2 friends with us we get to sit in millionares row and watch all the races and have lunch and dinner there.i am taking my camera and will post shots later.
after that me are going to the horseshoe casino and hotel to spend the night and play some poker me and my wife are counting the days to th 13th.

well hello sg land.well this weekend we had a little get together to celebrate me and my wifes 4th anniversary.the actual date was july 1st which also as it turns outs marked my 15th year in the insurance business.we had a cookout on friday night which looked a little something like this

the new flower garden finished just before i had my wreck.still a couple of things left new gutters and downspouts and new outside doors then the renovations will be complete.
speaking of my wreck i think i updated this in my last blog but i did get my 2700 for my car and i had the 2 root canals done on my teeth monday.i go back tuesday to finish the job hopefully and then the waiting process begins to see if capping is neccesary or not.

well this is what happens when a sixty plus year old gets a jacked up four wheel drive truck with mudder tires and tries to drive
especially when he pulls out on to road about 20 feet in front of you and you are going 35 mph
then your head hits the windshield and your mouth hits the steering wheel when you are not wearing a seat belt and your airbags do not deploy and nearly knock out 2 of your teeth
that happened monday so today i go to the dentist and get those 2 teeth reset and in 7 to 10 days i get to get root canals on both of them so maybe i wont lose them and have to get caps
needless to say it hasnt been a good 24 hours for me
but other than my mouth it looks like ill be alright thanks to my hard head i just wish my teeth were as hard
update 04272010 had my 2 root canals yesterday so needless to say my mouth is hurting again but hopefully it will pass soon then next tuesday they finish the job then the waiting begins to see if capping is needed.other than that all is well i settled with the other insurance company on my car which was totaled and my wife has a lead on a couple of cars that we are going to look at soon and see if we want to replace mine

that being said i have to post these pics but first a little background we have 2 pets our cat gidget and our pom whose official name is carousels the real mccoy but we call him 'mac' for short anyway this pom wieghs maybe 3 to 4 pounds soaking wet but i swear if we let him he could eat more than me and my wife combined.i tell my wife all the time that i believe he would eat dirt if we put sugar on it
anyway one thing about mac eating pretty much anything we give him it does provide some good entertainment value from time to time which brings me to today which happens to be my wife birthday(i know day after christmas bummer) but today some friends took my wife out to eat for her birthday and got her a cake.well the icing on this cake was real sweet which mac just loves sweets so we decided to give him some and this is what happened
what can i say we are easily amused
