This bird built a nest underneath the awning of my house.
Apparently this is a slutty bird because now she has three babies in the nest too.
The nest sits upon the 2 X 6 beam to which my outdoor speakers are affixed.
Sometimes I listen to music that might be inappropriate for baby birds.
Any ornithologists that can tell me if I'm harming these birds by playing music in the apartment below theirs?

I got the book in the mail Friday, June 8th. Inside the book was a post card instructing me on the various ways I should help support Fantagraphics. In about 6 to 8 weeks they will be getting a postcard from me instructing them on the various ways they should suck it.

I ordered a book for a friend's birthday in March. I ordered online and I made sure that I ordered early enough that I would get it well before the big day. About a week after ordering, I received an envelope with an invoice indicating that while I'd been charged for the purchase, the book was out of stock. Moreover, it said nothing of when I could expect to get the book.
Of course, I called Fantagraphics in the hopes that I might still see the book before the zero hour but, instead I was met with vagaries and excuses. It's important to note that I was very courteous in my inquiry and the service representative while never helpful was also never rude. However, after an ersatz pseudo-apology the only thing he could tell me about my issues was how an imminent website overhaul would help people who aren't me avoid this scenario at a time that wasn't now. At no time was I lead to believe they gave two shits in a barrel about rectifying my current predicament or any future purchases. Must be nice to be doing so well that you can alienate customers as a matter of course.
What's worse, I still don't have the book almost two months later. I had to tell my friend that I didn't have a birthday present for him. Luckily, he's a good guy who doesn't really care about such things but that doesn't make me seem any less an asshole.
To summarize, not only will I not be helping Fantagraphics with their litigious bullshit, I will likely not be ordering from them again and I will be retelling this yarn to anyone who will listen.

What the fuck happened to these? Far and away my favorite mass produced, processed mystery desert. I can\'t find them anywhere and my hunger for them is starting to become distracting. I think it\'s taking a toll on my marriage and my skills as a father. It\'s all I can think about. It tears at my soul.
My other concern is that is was secretly discovered that they cause serious health problems - aside from obesity, diabetic comas and all consuming obsession - and were slowly phased out of existence before anyone figured it out. Remind me to ask my doctor about this. Even better, if anybody has access to secrect Hostess or FDA files, that would be helpful too.
