Wish I had the volition to write up another clever, insightful journal entry, but I'm just too damn tired. On that note, it's about time to get some cash, hit downtown, catch the Hate Bombs, and have a bombastic time.

Maybe later, in a drunken daze, I'll post up a poem or something. Or freewrite on my latest cultural critique.

So, overall, this Turkey Day hasn't been all that bad. Work was a little insane. One of our clients got highly aggressive after dinner, but after that, things mellowed down. Had a better meal than I've had in weeks. Improved on my writings quite a bit. Got to exercise quite a bit. Overall, plenty to be grateful for, if that's what the day's all about....

Yes I have become a bit more cynical cause whats not great about pointing out our cultures great flaws.

The MST3K thing is more than a bit sad its a lot sad that was the only thing that used to be good about "Turkey Day" it made sitting around with my wonderful family almost bareable.

Peace Out

Dude, now I feel like a horses ass, I had no idea that your clients were autistic or mentally handicapped. But that's what happens sometimes when you're bieng a cynical smart-ass, open mouth insert foot (I'm going to need a shoe horn to get the goddamned thing out now). Sorry man.

Jesus. I leave for a couple of months (because BellSouth screwed my house over with the internet and all), and look what happens. It's a total revolution and I'll have to learn all over again. But that's part of the fun, I suppose.

So, I start up a new job next week and get paid quite a bit more. I should be able to afford...

Warning: This entry is absolutely inane.

To avoid deep introspection or pseudo-emotional wanderings, I did some necessary house cleaning. It's mind boggling how much bullshit paperwork gets sent to me from my job, the bill collectors, health insurance, colleges, etc. Couple that with the paranoia instilled in me by my folks that everyone's an identity thief in waiting and you've got me spending hours tearing...

Started seeing another girl. That's the good news (I guess). The bad news is that there's a lot of emphasis on "another" in that she's a lot like a recent ex of mine in all of the least desirable ways. Not to mention she's pretty young in understanding and knowledge. Appears that she might hold me up in some sort of teacher style position, which...

Taking a break for a few days. A temperamental mood is forcing me to figure out my place in everything. In the meantime, here's a poem from J.D. McClatchy

"Jihad"

A contrail's white scimitar unsheathes
Above the tufts of anti-aircraft fire.
Before the mullah's drill on righteousness,
Practice rocks are hurled at chicken-wire

Dummies of tanks with silhouetted infidels
Defending the nothing both sides fight...

"The seven white men vying for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination haven't done much better. They have also said virtually nothing about affirmative action, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, double-digit black unemployment and education reform. They get away with this 'say little and do less' about urban problems by painting nightmare visions to blacks of Bush unleashing an all-out blitz on civil rights, social and education programs....

Rather than bore anyone with another whiny journal entry, I'll just write up someone else's poem:

"Pasternak"
byChard Deniord

"What century have we got out here, my dears?" -Boris Pasternak

This was the life, to live in Russia
at the end of Russia and write about its history
as if it were poetry, while one beloved or the other
lay asleep nearby, dreaming of him...

I'm sorry it just seemed like you were one of those people that get off on thinking they are smarter and more rational than everyone else. You know those people (there are plenty of then) that respond with preaching or insults thinly veiled in an apology that never really sounds sincere. I was obviously wrong. Please except my apologies.

See what I mean. Ive had enough of those that Im super defensive.

I like Coldplay because they remind me of Catherine Wheel, who I've liked for a long time. Radiohead didn't enter into my liking of Coldplay.

I've got nothing against Radiohead, or anything, I just find their music wholly unremarkable. For me it just lacks whatever other bands I like are able to do. (That's about the closest I can get to describing it, I think.)

Been wasting a lot of everything lately, but mostly time and money. Aside from work yesterday, all I did was play video games and watch comedy shorts on the computer. Not such a bad thing in and of itself, but considering all of my responsibilities, it's not such a good idea. Things I still have to work on: (1) rough drafts of recommendation letters for...

no, you should put having a good time at the top of the list (or youll stress yourself out), but dont forget about the resposnabilities. and i do the brooding thing too, especially in large groups of unknown people.

Been considering graduate school abroad, emphasizing literature and cultural studies. No real attachments to my current life, but I don't know if that should make me feel free and proud or disappointed and depressed (I'm more naturally leaning to the latter, unfortunately)...
