I think it's time to call it quits here... when I don't even look at most of the new sets anymore I think that's a pretty good indication that it's gotten old. I cancelled my subscription yesterday but it won't run out until next year, so I might poke around here and there anyway while it's still active.
The new layout was an interesting experiment, but it never was about the friends or the blogs, and it's not really about the photosets anymore either. I think that taking the SGs and making them into mostly regular members with naked photos made it lose a lot of the glamour. Without that, the site doesn't have the same feel as it used to. And making into a MySpace-like page with some members intrinsically elevated above others basically renders the whole community idea unpalatable.
I don't know if you are even allowed to criticize SG on the SG page. But there you go. Happy trails, guys and gals... I'm out! If you really feel like it you can find me on MySpace... same username.
