I am buying that appartment.

It is at 1500m high, about 1 hour driving from where I live at the moment.

There's a cheminey, that would be good for the cold winter days and as it's high up the mountains, I will easily escape from the hot summer days.

I will keep living in the flat I am now in town as it is close from the school I work in. But I am sure every tim I'll enjoy the 10m2 terrasse and the ski stations when I'll be in this appartement.
I shall officially get the keys end of June. That will be exactly for the coming summer holidays!

Here are x-rays of my left arm after I stupidly fell at work last Thursday.
I can say, in spite of what we can see, that I am pretty lucky at the moment but I'll know more in two weeks...
I can move my arm almost normaly since today but it looks like I have lost all strengh in it.
I don't know when I could do sports again.
Being a teacher is pretty dangerous!

I fell stupidly on my elbow at work this morning and went directly to the emergencies.
We can't see on x-rays if it's broken or not.
But it's arwfuly painful...

A week ago, there was the Departure of the Tour de France Cycling 2009 in Monaco. The city is 10 minutes driving from my country house.
The commercial cars then the cyclists such as Lance Armstrong passed meters from my country house in La Turbie. Actually, I only had to go up the stairs to the main road and there I was to see them.
I don't like much, actually, not at all cycling I and never watch the Tour de France on TV as I find this sport absolutely boring! But the commercial cars were pretty funny to see passing by and it was fun to get some presents the cars were giving to the people on the road.
I got some cups I will never wear, shopping bags I may use once or twice before they are totaly ruined (lol!), bottle of beer openers (they will be very useful for this summer fiestas on the beaches
) key rings, T-shirts useful to become pyjamas and more stuff I don't realy know the use...

And then the cyclists...

And some more commercials...

I love this one, it's so funny!
To escape the agitation of the coming tourists and the summer by the sea, I went up to the mountains this week-end. I am also looking to buy a flat in the sky station close to Nice. It's only 1hour driving from homr and it's so quiete up there!
These pictures were taken at 1500m high and the mountains around climb up to 2000m and some still have specks of snow. It's the National Park of Mercantour. I've not seen the wolves, maybie next time.

I was in London and Aberdeen (Scotland) during my last winter holidays.
I went there to visit friends I met at University.
I really miss UK. My grandmother's sister married to a Scottish and I had spent my summer holidays when I was a child in Southampton. The smells, the taste of the food, the habits of the people, the architecture of the houses... everything reminds me of my childhood.
It is funny not to feel abroad or in a foreign country when I am in UK.
I took about 180 pictures, and I wanted to share some with you here...

I think I can add pictures (at last!) on my blog!!! I found a way to resize them so that they can fit here. I hope they won't appear as tiny sports here now! lol!
So I rewrite what I was saying few minutes ago... as it is the custom in this season :
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
And here are some pics of the snow in my city, Nice in Southern France. It is very rare we get snow, maybe once every 5 years... you can see the snow above on the mountains. The pics are not great as I took most of them while driving and with my mobile phone... lol!

I am actively looking to buy a house... actually, I really have to move from the place I am at the moment because of my neighbors. They menaced me of death last summer, enter my place when I am not home, put music 20hours a day, had beaten my cat that almost died, burnt trees in my garden, destoyed all my car windows' ... I went to see the mayor and the police but nobody did anything...
By the way, why did I seek for some help from the mayor as he even beats his wife... and was condemned for it...
The problem is that here, prices are very high.
My cat could not live in a flat as he never did and I think he would die if he had to.
The problem is that places with a garden, even a small one are very rare at low prices.
With 90.000euros, wich is a very high amount of money, the real estate agencies have ruined houses 80km from any city. Even in Nice, with that sum of money, you get a small studio. And even to afford this, I will have to make a loan at the bank.
This situation is making me feel pretty desperate...
