I just started eating dramaticaly smaller portions. I am, honestly, kind of a lazy person and lead a somewhat sedentary lifestyle. So I figure that your imput needs to be in some corralation to your output. If i'm not very active and I take in a huge amount of calories, then those exsess calories are stored as fat. America has a major size distortion issue when it comes to eating. The amount of food that you get searved on a plate when you go out to eat is rediculous! So now when I eat out, one meal equals two to four meals for me.
So that's basicaly it, I eat less.

Thanks for the friends add. I drove through Rosenberg this weekend, as we usually drive on highway 36 to get from 59 back to I10. We travel that road so often, probably about 8 times in a given year. Grandkids have us hostage for love!

Our greatest friends should be there for us no matter what. I just watched Meet Joe Black the other day, and there was a fantastic quote when the sort of loser guy was talking about his amazing love for his wife. He said, "She knows the worst thing about me, and it's OK."
It's when we release our most painful secrets that we need our loved ones the most. I'm very sorry that these people could not find it within themselves to accept the reality of the situation and be a friend to you, but people have a lot of difficulty with anything outside of their sphere of normality. Maybe they'll come around. I'm also always here to chat . . . for what it's worth from strange, disembodied internet weirdos like me and SailorFrank, we're here for you, baby!
(Wait, you and Frank are both in Texas . . . maybe you know each other and I'm the only disembodied weirdo here . . .)
In related news, I also told someone recently that I didn't want to talk to her anymore after I was hurt by something she did . . . then I realized what a stupid asshole I was being and recanted. We're all capable of being fucktards (as Clint Eastwood noted in Unforgiven . . ."We've all got it comin', kid"), but hopefully the best of us can see it when it happens and be man enough to admit our mistakes. In my situation, I don't know anymore who was wrong or who was right, and maybe neither was and maybe it doesn't even matter. People who care about each other should be good to each other. At the end of things, we need each other, and that's the way of the world.

I have an on/off relationship with alcohol. We broke up Monday and I think it's permanent this time. I've taken a two and a half year break before, so I'm sure I can live without it agian. It's an evil, tempting substance that changes people and I know it's not for me, I've had my fill.
