=====

Her barbed wit and unmatched bravado were more intoxicating than the whiskey Id drunk. She played me as we walked to her apartment nearby.

Did you know that when some species of snakes reproduce, Marla burst out, a whole group of them will ball up together into an orgy for hours! I recognized her as wanton, being likewise, myself. She would hold my arm momentary, and then duck aside, wink shyly at me, then sashay away with the strap of her dress hanging off her shoulder. She hadnt a drop to drink at the bar but she was punch drunk and reeling from her own dangerous charisma.

Her studio apartment was fastidiously clean with only a little furniture and fewer decorations. A futon bed and functional comforter, a lone lamp, alarm clock, and a boom box radio with several CDs were all the hospitality the Spartan place offered. An open closet door revealed neatly organized rows of expensive clothing and several pairs of shoes.

I dont have anything to drink but I can get you some water if youd like, Marla said.

Thanks, but Im ok for now, I replied.

She stepped to her closet and pulled out a Scrabble board from the upper shelf. Herere the tiles! she exclaimed as she threw the little wooden bits across the floor. My chance, no doubt, to help pick them up.

As I kneeled to the floor, our hands touched momentarily, shooting palpable electricity through the room. Her dark eyes flashed and her lips beckoned from behind the bangs of hair. Let me get us a little something, Marla purred. She walked across the room and curtseyed lowly by the radio, bringing to life the velvet voice of Marvin Gaye.

Relaxing, I settled onto the carpeted floor in this room with no chairs. I breathed slowly and deliberately to calm the sex between my legs.

Marla returned, carrying a curious pipe in one hand and a thin length of aluminum foil in the other, plopping herself beside me on the floor. With the grace of a pickpocket she produced a small vial and proceeded to sprinkle her tiny crystalline powder into the foil. Marvins music swayed me.

"Ahhh... ohh mercy, mercy me..." I arranged the tiles neatly. "Things aint what they used to be, no, no, no" She ignited the lighter. "Where did all the blue skies go oh, oh?" Curling wisps of white smoke rose from the powder. "Poison is the wind that blows from north and south and east"

She fed the curved pipe into her mouth, wrapping her lips tightly and inhaled. Exhaled. And with great anticipation I did the same.

Python! AND thats a double word score! she taunted at me. Failing to hide my smile, I knew I was to going to lose.

Inhale. Exhale. "Ohh mercy, mercy me" Marvin sang sweetly.

She won again the next round.

Inhale. Exhale. "Things aint what they used to be" And Marvin sings sweetly.

I won the one after that.

Inhale. Exhale. "What about this over crowded land" Marvin sung sweet.

Round after round we sparred and we laughed, tumbling in delight, as if this comforting bond had always been knit between us. Inhale, exhale. "How much more abuse from man can she stand" Until at last, the suns weak rays began cresting over the horizon. We were, by then, too exhausted to consecrate this passion. In each others arms we fell into bed.

I drifted into an uneasy sleep, holding her body in the cold hours of dawn.

interesting journal? i wouldn't have thunk it. talk about weather, talk about food. seems basic, right?

I'm curious about these other Happas lurking the globe and this site in particular since it seems a unique place to arrive at.
