Saw the doctor today. It seems the pain in my lower back is being caused by two herniated discs. Those were the result of a major soccer injury on top of 2 years of manual labor.
It seems my only options are surgery (which I've been strongly advised against) and epidural injections of steroid into my spine.
So, I'm going with the epidural injections. Doesn't sound like too much of a good time, but I'll do anything to get rid of this constant stabbing pain in my lower back.
