So I bought me a new axe.
It's a pretty sweet piece, an Epiphone Dot Studio. Pretty much the same as the more expensive archtops, minus the floating pickguard and dual volume/tone controls. I'm impressed so far as it has great action and a really nice feel in-hand. A steal at $229.
As for my skills, I'm still not too super but I'm getting better.
