Sigh, being fairly broke has ensured that I have become rather boring lately. My achievements have included: I went on a nice "hike" last weekend, it was really just 2 miles on a trail with some slight ups and downs, but at least it was a nice park...getting caught up on shows like Californication, finishing Justified and American Horror story...oh, I can keep my end of a conversation up on Game of Thrones, Real Time with Bill Maher and usually The Daily Show and Colbert Report...And I did a movie swap night with the boyfriend where I got him to finally watch Casablanca and I finally watched Dirty Harry and it was pretty awesome! 
And I'm almost finished with You Are Not So Smart by David McRaney (there is also a website with the same name) and it's fantastic! It's really cool to learn more about why we act they way we do and be completely entertained at the same time.
So, that's about it for my free time...what about you guys? You'd probably have me beat in activity level alone

For the people that I love, I hope you are all doing very well! 
Emerald City Comic Con was great! I didn't get to see ALL of the people that I would have liked to, I was REALLY hoping I would get to meet the creator on Fables, which is one of the best comic series! But, I did get to meet the creators of iZombie!
Such a great "retro" looking comic that is set in Eugene (yay Oregon!) about a zombie, but one that is actually functioning and her friends, a ghost and a were-Terrier. LOL Yep, you read that right, not a were-wolf, a were-terrier...if you want to know more, you'll have to read it. It is done by this super cute couple; the husband writes it and does all the initial sketching and then the wife will color it on the computer, and they were SO sweet!
AND, the best thing in the whole world, ever: I got to meet Jhonen Vasquez! A lot of artists of popular comics has special signing times when a limited amount of tickets were given to get anything signed: The creators of Morning Glories, Chew, The Walking Dead, Hack/Slash (go look into Cassie Hack, on here, it's great ) So those people were busy, of course, but Johnen was the ONLY guy that wasn't doing special signing times that constantly had a line. He was actually pretty cool and pretty nice and apparently a fan of Dune. And now I have a signed copy of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac!
Now wish me luck in my attempts to get into a competitive Vet Tech program for the fall!
It really helps that I already have a degree, prior experience, and my own pets...but my previous Biology classes might not be enough to meet the pre-reqs, so if it doesn't get approved, I'll have to wait until next year. 
NOW, to those of you who like to negatively spam my sets (which is very unfair to the photographers, I might add).
How many complaints did you guys launch and how many groups have you gotten to ban me?? I'm at about 4 now and I'm trying to find more...and ALL of this over an opinion of mine, on ONE thread on ONE of the Boards. For fucks sake people! Seriously, this type of thing is why I never wanted to be in a Sorority... I know a few of my views don't line up very well with most people, and that is perfectly fine, but come on...really?!
What ever happened to doing the adult thing when someone makes you mad? You try to resolve the issue, but if it can't be done, you ignore and/or avoid the person. It is possible to just not talk to people that annoy you, trust me, I do it on here all the time.
SO, to those of you who are all upset with me and want to "punish" me for being such a mean and horrible person, I have a proposition: Instead of spamming my sets with negative comments, why don't you tell me what you think here? I have a perfectly good blog that you can comment on all you'd like...unless you're only comfortable scorning me anonymously (yes, I can count when the comments go up, but not all of them appear on the boards, I'm good at basic math like that).

So...New Year...and I have spent all of it, so far, sick. Not cool! But at least I am slowly getting my mind back and hopefully getting rid of all the grossness that has been plaguing my head, throat and chest!
I have had a few requests for political blogs because, well, I do get very opinionated about politics and international affairs!
I would gladly participate in some discussions if anyone would like, but I have another idea in mind for this particular blog...maybe next time I'll get into the ramblings again. Most likely topics to be: Why are all the Republican candidates homophobic, religious nut-jobs and why do so many people like that crap??!? I mean SERIOUSLY?! You want someone who believes an outlandish work of fiction,including but not limited to, an all knowing being hating the idea of me eating shellfish or cotton/poly blends...you want THAT person making the rules about what everyone else can't do because a fucking ancient book says so?!?! IDIOTS! Ok, enough of that or this will be a political blog.
Oh, I would also like to know why the fuck our media isn't telling us about the MILLIONS of people assembling in places like Spain and Russia seeking to reform their governments! Seriously, there was a protest involving some 180,000 people in Portugal including 10,000 from the military! And it's total silence over here. BULLSHIT! That's what it is! Or what about the shit that went down in the Congo??! Way to go letting a war criminal take over so we can keep our hold on their resources! Our governments should be fucking ashamed!

Ok, now I'm done...really. But please, go look at those stories! What I really wanted to talk about is far more nice and sweet. I wanted to talk about love! I am a sucker for it! Every time a friend of mine tells me a sweet story about them and their partner or I read something sweet in a thread on here...even sweet, romantic movies for god's sake! 
It just makes me all giddy and smiley thinking about people being happy and being in love. There was a time when I thought I was going to give up on the idea of being happy and in love; at that time I was in an awful marriage and I was completely miserable. I was thousands of miles away from my family and friends and I felt trapped...no money to leave and a husband with an increasingly volatile temperament. He never hit me, luckily, but he did break a lot of our furniture, dishes, doors...he was pretty cruel and short tempered with my cats too which I hated him for! (How can you be mean to a soft, cuddly creature that just wants to sit in your lap and love you?!)
But then I met Justin! (Handsome_Jack) by chance on Facebook while admiring some photos he took of a friend. And he has been the best thing to ever happen to me! So sweet and supportive, he's also very funny and pretty brilliant with computer stuff (which means I get downloads of all my favorite movies and tv shows! YAY!). Honestly, it's been about 1 1/2 years now and we've never even had a fight really...we can get into some heated arguments over things (like my views on Israel and Pakistan), but I've never once wanted to yell at him or tell him to piss off in anger. After all this time, I am finally just happy.
So please, add to my mush! Tell me about the people in your lives that make you happy and give you those warm and fuzzy feelings!
