i haven't been taking a lot of pictures lately because i've been really uninspired and i'm fairly certain everyone including myself is getting tired of seeing pictures of my dog (as adorable as she is). i decided to spend money i don't really have on a new lens, and i couldn't be happier. it's a canon 50mm f1.8, and oh man, i love that thing.

they started construction on our building two months ago and it's still not done. it's cool they are making our place a lot nicer, but jesus man... i just want my deck back.

I love the Olympics. I don't care what sport it is or what country is competing or if its even a medal event. Don't care, I'll watch it. It's safe to say I'm obsessed with women's gymnastics, too - I spent the past month reading every article and watching every youtube video i could find. My boyfriend is kind of creeped out that I know so much weird trivia about so many sports, but mostly it's funny to him that I'm so obsessed. Whatever, I just want to see amazing athletes in incredible shape doing these mind blowing things that I can never dream of doing. My mind, it is the boggled!!! Anyway, I was pretty bummed this weekend because my car is in the shop again, so he got me my new favorite shirt in the whole world:



Vintage, too - holla!!!!! He also bet me that I wouldn't wear it every day for the duration of the games... he has no idea what he's in for.

Lula learned to swim this weekend! She kind of hated me a little bit at first, but then she chilled on the raft with me for a good half hour.



Alright, I'm off to watch some more shit on nbcolympics.com - the best part is, after the Olympics are over, I get to go back home to Ohio again and see everyone at Havana, woohoo!!

been really busy the past couple weeks, comic con really took a lot out of me but i'm still excited for next year

4 1/2 more hours of work on my sleeve, it's coming together nicely. eventually i'll have good pictures, but i've been lazy this week and haven't transferred them to my computer yet:





so far, it adds up to 18 hours.... and it's not even close to done, haha.

it's kind of weird to be staying in watching a movie on saturday night, but i also kind of really like it . i'm finishing my accidental sleeve tomorrow and don't really feel like being tired or hungover (or any combination of those) for a 4 hour round trip drive + multiple hours of tattooings. i'm sure i will have lots more pictures tomorrow, but nothing new right now other than some gratuitous pictures of my puppy lula.

so i pretty much had the best weekend ever. meet lula (short for cholula):



she's a chihuahua terrier mix, 4-5 pounds, 4 months old, and just the sweetest puppy you'll ever meet.



right now she's playing with her little rope toy under my desk at work. we are bff.

oh and apparently her full name is Cholula Zapatos con Leche Concepcion. for those of you who don't speak spanish, that's "Hot Sauce Shoes with Milk" Concepcion. sugarkones came up with that, i don't ask questions, haha.

my little sister got her first tattoo when i was back home in ohio!

our dad is an astronomer so she wanted it to be three stars for three sisters, like orion's belt. here's her being cute and scared at the same time:

then i came home and went to santa barbara to finish up my forearm but instead wound up with a sleeve. whoops.



not done yet, hence why there's no pictures of the back. should be finished in a couple weeks... more elbow time, hooray!
