Well, heard from my friend Phil today via email. He was in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Today is his last day in Iraq: Yay! He'll be home in late February: Double yay!!
Hearing from him was quite a reality check for me. He's now currently a war veteran and has done some amazing things i'm sure. He mentioned nearly dying a fiery death (i guess i'll have to hear the story from his own lips) and being with the Fourth ID i think.
But the reality check for me is that i have to start cracking on getting my shit together. I've delayed too long in doing what needs to get done. Fear of the unknown and rejection has thus far kept me from pursuing something better for myself and i can't let that happen nor myself get too complacent. They say that tomorrow is the first day of the rest of you life and that's true on so many levels.
So i have to finally get my resume together and look for something a little higher paying as well as start seriously looking into some grad school programs. Either it's going to be in the arts or English teaching. Ya can't beat having the summers off but doing creative work is it's own reward i feel.
I will have to start mining my connections and seeing about learning some more things. Heavy reading and lots of photo taking are the future i hope i can lead. So, hopefully i will be on here less and out in the real world more. I can't keep delaying and delaying and delaying. That's not life. That's stagnation and i've been stagnant too long.
Time to use my education, head and skillz for something other than that which does not further or better myself. Life's too short to sit on my ass and not do what needs getting done.
Now i'm off to sleep and work tomorrow and hopefully something better in the figurative tomorrow. Later everybody.
addendom(sp?): Sometimes opportunity knocks, but it seems to knock in strange places... So what do i do? This girl is seperating from her husband who i have been attracted to sinse the day i met... Do i go for her or this other girl who i feel is attracted to me? Ahhhhhh...questions and questions without the answers. Haha...what luck.

Yes, i am a pro wrestler.
It will be much less enjoyable without you around here but i completely understand your desire to better yourself and further your career. If we do have to go without your contributions then i would like to wish you the best of luck with all future plans no matter what they may be.
