I haven't been feeling very creative lately. Then I heard about this thing where you make some thing cool everyday. I thought I'd give it a try. Some days it might be cool, some days not so much, but everyday you have a deadline to make something.
I'll be posting them all in my blog
Since there are only four so far here they are:
Day 001
For this one I used a photo I took this summer in Wisconsin and composited some shapes I made in Cinema 4D.
Day 002
I created the glossy black background in Cinema 4D, which originally looked like a mountain or cave. Then I inverted that background layer and used that for the background of the 2.
Day 003
I thought the triangle would be appropriate for day 3. I also wanted to make something white on white. This one was also done in Cinema 4D with the smoke and fire elements composited in Photoshop.
Day 004
I thought I'd switch it up and instead of doing something design-y I'd make a cinemagraph out of a photo I took last week. I thought this was going to be a quick one but getting the clouds to loop was a bit challenging. This is the second cinemagraph I've made, the first is below. I think they are so mesmerizing. You can expect more of these.
Here are some shots of Sash we took a couple weekends ago. First the digital photos...
Here are a couple taken with the Diana F+
Fuji RMS 100/1000
Oh man do I have a lot of photos to share. The biggest news of all... Sash and I are married
Hildreth shot our wedding. These are some of my favorites...
After the wedding we went to Minocqua, WI for a little vacation to tide us over before the official honeymoon.
These were taken in the morning before the fog cleared...
And once the sun came out so did Sash
A couple Sash took of me...
The last couple weeks of work has been relatively slow, which has allowed me to get out and shoot more often. Here are some pictures taken in the last two weeks.
Happy New Year! I had such a good holiday. Sash got me a film camera for Christmas from Lomography. It's a Diana F+. I've been having so much fun with it. I only have one roll developed so far, but I'll be picking up a few more this week, and I have two more to drop off. I've been trying a variety of film: X-Pro Chrome and X-Pro Slide for cross processing, Fuji Velvia, Fuji Provia, Kodak E100, Astia 100F, Agfa Vista, and Fuji T64. And there are so many more I want to try. The two day turn around is killing me though, but I suppose it's kinda nice to have to wait and be surprised. I did take some digitals to to fulfill my need for instant gratification.
Sash and I recently met up with Carrina to shoot a video and take some photos. That girl is so easy going and a dream to work with. We got so much done. And I couldn't of done it with out my girl
Hey all so I got a Google Plus account so if you have one hit me up or if you need an invite hit me up. I look forward to the day that Facebook dies.
I also got a Spotify account this morning. I thought I'd check it out and see what all the hype was about. And I tell you what, it fully rocks. That is the future right there. I'm addicted. It's like an iTunes smoothie with free refills. yeah. So if you have it let's be friends.
Here are some of the awesome songs I came across today.
Lykke Li.
This girl is gonna blow up if she hasn't already.
The Fancy is my new addiction. It's a place to discover great stuff, to curate a collection of things you love. Use it to create a catalog of your favorite things around the web and around the world.
it's one of my new favorite iPad apps. My others are: Flipboard HBO Go Pulse Jamboxx Songsterr (for any guitar players)
and Al Gore's book app, Our Choice, is pretty amazing. That is the future of books for sure.
