That's impressive! how many have you ran now? You run as much daily in the summer or less? I haven't taken the bike on the trails for a while, we're too busy in the spring. It's going to Colorado for the summer, I'll ride it there one week a month.
You're totally right about the triples, that's what I need to take to the strip. 500 wouldn't be too impressive, they tuned 'em down quite a bit by '75. plus my insurance lapsed on it and to re-register it I gotta pay the dmv 400 bucks. That was a stupid mistake. needs rings anyway. I gotta figure out something else to do with it. It still had it's original title from the dealer in Kansas, I shouldn't have registered it at all.
Sadly, the 750 isn't any closer to going back together. but once it gets real hot I'll need an indoor project so that'll be it. mostly I just gotta an aftermarket clutch actuator before I put the motor together. Stock ones don't last. Now that I've been to the strip a couple times and have the bug I'm revising my plans for the bike. I was going to try to get it to handle better, but now I'm thinking forget about that. Just make it for straight line and save money not buying wheels, newer forks, etc... Already have the chambers, porting (not extreme, just better) and bigger carbs. Should be pretty easy to get mid 11's out of it, probably touch into the tens once I've got some skills. My welding is getting decent, I can probably make a longer swing arm now.
I think you're coming up on a birthday or just had one right? I just crossed 6 years a week ago
