Here is some of how Japan helped us after Hurricane Katrina. Toyota, donated an additional $5M... GM, an American company, donated $400,000. When did the US become so egocentric that people are actually saying that we shouldn't help Japan because they never help us?!? For those that are ignorant, we set a better example for the world when we provide aid than we do when we invade.

Regarding 9/11, the PACIFIST nation of Japan sent a ship to fill (and I quote former President Bush) "vital refueling operations for the allied forces in the Indian Ocean", despite more than 40% of the population of Japan wanting to stay out of the War on Terror, and despite the "peace clause" in their Constitution - their leadership risked (and subsequently lost, via democratic elections) their positions to provide aid to the coalition operations.
