Hello and goodbye.
Anyone who actually knows me in real life knows me as a guy who likes to help people. Who stops on the side of the road to help random strangers. I've done this for the last two days after work. The first one simply needed a jump start and the second one was in a bad area of Detroit where a homeless guy was harassing the 19yr old driver who was freaking out because they just totaled their car. I stayed with them, explained the process of insurance and such works, had their car towed using my AAA, and made sure they were safely on their way.
I live by helping people, it's something that keeps me alive, keeps me happy, and it's something I never want to lose. Sometimes this backfires as it did on this forum. I did what I felt was right by preventing someone from getting in their car and driving off in a drunk and emotionally distressed state. As a result, I have been accused of abuse, my name shredded apart, and lost a number of friends due to the slander created by the one I was trying to help.
My only regret is using the dating sucks forum as a method of communication. I should have calmly written a blog post on my own page stating my point of view and left it at that. Instead I tried to defend myself in inappropriate ways and for that I'm sorry.
I can say that even knowing the outcome, losing friends, and everything else that has transpired as a result of my decisions that night, I wouldn't change a thing. I know in my heart I did the right thing and that's what matters most to me. Everyone went home in one piece. Nobody was physically hurt beyond some bruising from restraint. And a number of us learned quite a bit in the end.

I just simply can not believe what Margate's idea of what happened last night is. She in a drunk and diabetic sugar high state made her way to her car which I had locked and thrown the keys on the roof in an effort to prevent her from driving home when she somehow unlocked the car and began to sit in the drivers seat. I removed her from the car under the belief that she was going to try and drive away. She then proceeded to fight tooth and nail against me trying to get back in the car. I restrained her and waited till her parents or the cops came to take over.
The police were the first to show at which point I let Margate go because I was no longer needed. Her parents showed up shortly there after at which point they told me after watching her interact with her mother that it's illegal in my city to be abusive to your mother. The police officer then requested I re-think her being my girlfriend.
I never "abused" Margate, I was restraining her because I care about her (still do not that it matters) even after destroying my iPhone, kicking, punching, etc. with no regard for anyone's life including her own.

The tent setup went very well. We're camping like king and queen in our 7 person tent, queen aero bed, and old school Coleman lantern & stove setup.

Today was one of those days that everything just went to hell in a hand basket. Woke up to the sound of my brother leaving the house. That's usually inconsequential except for my car is broken, can't take the motorcycle because it was going to rain, and therefore I needed a ride to work. So I call him and tell him to come back, he has to be at work in 20min so that meant no shower for me. I need a shower to wake up in the morning so my day was doomed already.
So I get to work and deal with a computer order that I'm working on, everyone is asking the wrong questions to the wrong people so I have to straighten that out. I get a text message saying "we went to lunch, we're here if you want to join us.", so I drop what I'm doing, gather the rest of those who weren't told about lunch (we usually go as a group), and by the time we get there, guess who's walking out the door to head back... WTF? whatever.
Grabbed food at Pizza Hut, figured I deserved some tasty food... well, if tasty meant stale ass bread and solid almost crunchy cheese, then I suppose that's what I got. sigh.
Went back and found out a server was dieing, asked if it was ok to shut it down so I could go fix it otherwise I wouldn't make the trip across campus. Got the OK, went, found out yes, I can shut it down but they stacked a bunch of other equipment on top of the server preventing me from getting inside of which we can't shut down. GAH. I said screw it, I carefully moved the equipment off the server while running and did my work. I'll catch hell for it tomorrow but whatever.
Left from there to go home so nothing else could go wrong. Got in an argument over SMS that lasted for quite a while that I don't even want to get into right now. Decided to make the best of the night and go out with some friends. Everyone was either too busy, not around, etc. etc. so I ended up going to blockbuster, renting beauwulf on Blu-Ray because we saw some of the movie and the DVD was scratched so much that we had to stop watching. I also picked up Call of Duty for PS3, it was pretty damn cool except you need to have the volume up to really get into it (at least I do) but I was irritating others in the house (I'd be irritated if I were them) so I stopped playing.
Finally I did something productive... I tested the coleman stove and lantern for Rothbury, put them along with the sleeping bags, aero bed, extension cord, inverter, and other stuff together ready for the trip Wednesday.
Most exciting part of the day was seeing this sign:

Margate and I also went to cedar point the other day which was a lot of fun. We managed to go on just about every ride at least once and managed to do our favorite rides twice like the Magnum XL200 and the Top Thrill Dragster which is effing amazing!!!!!

Margate and I are back from the cruise... it was EXCELLENT!, didn't forget anything major, just little stuff like my headphones, hair goop, and a tie. She forgot her Red Wings jersey but otherwise packed perfectly.

DEMF was lot of fun... I learned lots about the shit people do to their bodies.
I won the center piece at the co-ed baby shower... and had lots of great food. They played "Guess the weight of the mom to be!"... I found that odd, but she's 150lbs with twins around a month away, so I guess she's proud
I'm very happy with my hair cut, I'll have to take some new pics.

I'm off to the local saloon to celebrate my co-worker's Bachelors in Physics and my Masters in Computer Science at Noon with around 15-20 co-workers, Margate, and whomever else shows up. Food, beer, drinks, on work time... doesn't get much better 
mmm.... Home cooked dinner waiting for me... can't wait! Eating out is nice but gets old. Maybe it's time I learn to cook.
