I was having a pretty good day, but then I saw on Xbox Live that Tekken Tag 2 was on sale for $20. So then my day morphed from good to awesome. Then I get a text from my girlfriend, who according to the picture she sent me, just magically gets more beautiful every day. So now my day is legendary, and I have a much needed day off that is just one day away. Good times.

I don't quite see the problem with Windows 8. Yes there is no start menu, but who really uses that anymore? I always use icons anyway and this way I can access them all on one interface.

People always give Dead Space crap for not being scary, but Dead Space 1 and 2 are on par with any horror game I've ever played (other than SilentHill 2/3) as far as combat, story, and the "survival" part of survival horror. And apparently Dead Space 3 is even better, which would logically make it one of the best horror games of all time. I loved Dead Space 1&2, and the second is on par with Resident Evil 4, which I consider the second-best horror game of all time behind Silent Hill 2.

So if Resident Evil can get a free pass for making its games not at all horror, why doesn't Dead Space get credit for its superior controls, storytelling, scariness, UI design, and replayability?

I think I show incredible restraint, because in the past six months there's been at least twenty or so games that I want, but the only ones I've gotten are Borderlands 2 and Super Mario Bros U. Meanwhile Darksiders II, Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, Dishonored, Anarchy Reigns, Resident Evil 6, COD: Black Ops II, DMC: Devil May Cry, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengence are only a few of the games on my "'absolutely want!" list. Dead Space and Crysis 3 came out, and Bioshock Infinite is a month away. And I can afford like half of those, but considering how much free time I have, it's a bad idea, lol. Instead I'll get some serious rollerblades to get into the crazy good shape I want to get into.

Keep in mind I already have 125+ games (full games, too, not XBLA or PSN games) just on PS3 and 360 (and sold 20-30 for trade-ins), and five consoles (Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, Gamecube) and two handhelds (Vita and 3DS XL). The second the PS4 and the new Xbox come on preorders I'll get those too.

Too bad there's no female Batman character to my knowledge, because I have Bruce Wayne-levels of tech in my apartment.

One of the perks of a ridiculously good paying job is all the stuff you can buy. In the last six months I've gotten a PS3, PS Vita, 3DS XL, Wii U, $130 Turtle Beach headphones, and in about a month and a half I'm dropping 1.2K on an Alienware laptop. Power gamer is an understatement.

on the agenda for today: clean my apartment, play some Serious Sam 3:BFE, do laundry, listen to Iced Earth, chat with my babydoll, sleep, work 12 hours. An average day for me, lol.
