it's a sore spot for me as well. hence, the long rant haha. it really bugs me when people freak out on my friends that don't want kids. "what! you don't want kids?! are you SURE?! how can you not want kids!" ugh, it's none of their fucking business! it's terribly annoying. and yes, teenagers are fucking awful. i just hope that when i do have a child, he or she will not be an asshole teenager.

In my hometown (La Crosse) there is a place that makes apple fritters the size of a large dinner plate. And they are un-fucking-believable. If you ever go there, find a "Java Detour" that used to be Mr. D's (any self-respecting native will know what you're talking about) on the corner of West Avenue and State St. You will NOT be disappointed. Fucking manna from heaven.

I finally got my "no objection" from the State Dept. I should be in Afghanistan within the next couple of weeks!

Yeah, I thought about that whole thing with the receptionist angle as well, since I initially took that job, why is it not OK now?

However, I am discovering other things about this that are blatantly discriminatory against me that I hadn't even thought of, so I think I have a pretty good case both for unemployment and a lawsuit.
