I was granted an Australian visa a couple days ago! I can't believe it. Some of you may or may not know that my dad lives over there with his wife and kids and that I've been going over there regularly for the past 18 odd years. I consider Australia my second home, and I have much more of an emotional connection to that place than I do Montreal. Every time I get off a plane and hear that Aussi accent I feel HOME. I can't describe it. I love everything about that place, the weather, the people, the pace of life, the scenery and vegetation, and little traditions like afternoon tea and going to the beach on Christmas day, which I don't know is particular to all families but definitely mine.
I won't be able to stay for more than 1 year, 2 at the most, but realistically 1, but I'm so excited it's beyond belief.
If I want to stay for a second year I have to work for 3 months in rural Australia in agriculture or something similar. Shouldn't be too hard to find something. This is one of my dads calves- I had to bottle feed this lil guy back in October <3
