stats: She never raised her voice. That was the worst thing -- her silent fury. And then we discovered why -- why this girl who had fought with gods and demons -- why she had run away and hidden. She was being kind.
most humbling moment: Everything went on without me. Babies were born. People got married. Thousands of people will remember it as the happiest moment of their lives.
heroes: Moths for being nocturnal creatures always searching for the light and then, upon finding it, flying straight into the flame. Slugs for being tiny piles of moosh that slide around with no protection at all. Both so tragic, so fragile, yet so very brave.
makes me happy: Gloworms, windows rolled down with the music turned up, opening packages, escalators, cooking, grocery shopping (especially the produce section), lying in a hammock and watching a thunderstorm, splashing in puddles, trampolines, farms, getting into a freshly made bed, climbing, tea.
fantasy: I want new home every night. A new sky every day. 14 hour sunsets above the clouds. Traveling at the speed of the lunar eclipse outside my window. I want to be stripped of everything -- day after day -- so all that remains are the things no one can ever take from me.
