smashing pumpkins - billy corgan, nothing more.
weezer - rivers cuomo, god you fucked up.
pixies - face it, black francis has an ego that lives up to his name.
stone temple pilots - this is tough, i wanna say weiland fucked it all up but maybe it was due time after tiny music. either way i'm sad to have lost such a great band.

ok, so i wouldn't go so far as to say this has ruined the band, but nick olivieri's (to say nothing of dave grohl's) absence from queens of the stone age has all but guaranteed that they met their creative and artistic peak with Songs for the Deaf. and that makes me more than a little sad.
