We've all had a crush on someone in high school, in college, maybe even at work

What is the most embarrasing / degrading / desperate thing you have done in the name of love?

In high school, when we were about 10 years old, me and my best buddy had a major thing for this girl, so one day we decided to write her a note declaring our love for her.

But we didn't want her to know it was from either one of us. We thought, she might be able to recognize our handwriting, so we cut letters and words out of newspapers and magazines and stuck them on a piece of paper. In the end it looked more like a ransom note than anything else.

We snuck up to her parent's place. Up until now I thought we just having a bit of fun and I never expected him to throw the note into mailbox. He did and I nearly lost it. And then someone heard us, so we made a run for it.

Stupid. Really stupid.

I moved to another country, and lost contact. I just recently found her email; maybe I should fess up. What do you think?

So I'm always making mix CDs for myself and I'll burn a copy for the object of my affection, K, 'cause I know she loves them. One week I thought perhaps I pissed her off so of course I can't have that. I quickly started going through my entire collection, picking out songs with an "I'm sorry" theme.

I gave her the "I'm Sorry If I've Pissed You Off (Take Lightly With a Sense of Humor and Teaspoon Of Sugar) Mix". Turns out she was never mad at me and this CD now serves as my get out of jail free card. Heh.

in 6th grade i had this MAD crush on a sophomore... i decided to write him a love letter and slip it into his locker. so i did so, and stuck a heart sticker on his locker too... well his friend saw me do this. after i left, his friend ran to the locker, opened it and took the letter out and brought it in class, where jason was. (the crush) his friend READ IT OUT LOUD IN CLASS. i just about fucking DIED. it was during a study hall, and jason and ALL his friends were in it. i ran back to my class freaking out like whoa.

then on the bus home, a few of his friends were on the same bus as me... one guy came to sit with me, and he had the letter, and he was all like AWWW and reading it to me. i was a million shades of red. on the verge of tears because i was *so* embarassed.

that night i even got fucking phone calls from his friends making fun of me!!! ahhhh. and one of his friends even carved on jason's locker "(myname) loves jason"

i just went back to the school over the summer to reminisce with a friend, and that is STILL carved in the locker... 11 years later. haha

but dude, that whole thing fucking sucked.

i had a booty-call only type relationship with a guy i was working with. after about a year i realized that i really had feelings for him and started leaving him roses on his car several nights a week without a note. when i finally left a tape he figured out it was me. it didn't go anywhere then and i regretted it terribly but after about two more years of casual sex he fell in love with me and we dated for a year, so i guess it wasn't too embarassing in the end.
