Last night I stood on a street corner here in my hometown with a sign that said "Vote", amongst a gaggle of Pro-Kerry/Anti-Bush demonstators. And boy, what an experience it was.

The nice part: Of the several hundred peolpe that drove by in the two hours, about 30% honked and cheered as they passed. About the majority of people simply waved or smiled, or else just drove on. ONly a small handfull of people booed or gave the "thumbs down". Of course, I live in Southern California. But actually witnessing the positivity was appreciated.

The FUNNY part: watching the reactions of the strongly pro-Bush people (which was relatively small in comparison to the people who showed their support). But those that responded ran the gammot of one man yelling "Kerry's A Fag" and throwing something out his window, to numerous elderly people in Mercedes and BMWs giving us the finger (I swear...apparently rich old people love to give the bird), to a car full teenagers with a Bush/Cheney sticker on their truck drivign by and mooning us - twice.

One particular gentleman walked up to the girl next to me and started inquring into her thoughts on Bush. His questions were; "You're a girl - can you see Kerry's wife as the First Lady?" "What happens if Kerry gets assasinated; do you think Edwards is old enough to run the country?" and "Are you against the War? Do you thin we should have let Hussein get away with bombing our country?"

So - what did I learn? Well, that there alot of vocal people out there who feel strongly about this election (which is good, I think). Sadly, alot of said people are complete fucking JACKASSES.

Good Luck, Kerry! smile

Well, there's two Starbucks, 5 gyms, A Vegetarian fast-food place, A Hollywood Video, a whole lotta plam trees. and the best sports team the local high school has is the Water Polo team.

So, maybe.

Hahahaha - most opf the protestors were 40-somethings and retirees. There was a small group of dirty hippy kids holding peace signs, and me in my
"buddy holly " glasses and sweater. Most punk rockers around here are too strung otu to even stand up for longer than 3 minutes.

Life in a small town...what are you gonna do?
