It's great he's won 6 times. Too bad they spit on him for no good reason other than he's a brilliant athlete. whatever

There's a chamois liner on the inside of the shorts. Chamois feels goooood!

Yup, and the seams are covered to prevent chafing.

I went insane when I heard the news this morning. I was in Chicago and started dancing around in my car. Lots of people were wearing their yellow "Live Strong" bracelets. smile

I can't imagine watching competitive bicycling. Gah. Worse than car racing. At least there're accidents there.

The Tour de France often has crashes, especially when descending mountains on slick roads at 70 mph... I get really nervous watching them. Falling off a bike at that speed can be fatal.

What makes it really amazing is that it was only a few years ago, he had a 50% chance of dying from advanced cancer. This guy is amazing! Apparently he can pedal for an hour at 30+ mph without getting too tired. They tested him on an exercise bicycle, and then they put another athlete (baseball player....which in all fairness is not really about endurance but still) on. The other guy did it for two minutes and said that he felt like his heart was going to explode!

It is actually pretty cool. I used to think that way and then I watched it on the Canadien OLN and totally got hooked so I have watched it 3 years running until this year because where I moved to now doesn't get that channel... Anyways I usually multitask and do other shit but I always watch the last few miles.... So yeah I see your point I used to say that...

Outdoor Life Network (OLN) chronicled pretty much the whole thing.

Yeah, maybe the end and maybe if Lance didn't dominate like a motherfucker. Seems like it would be watching the basketball Dream Team play China in the Olympics.

Personally, I'm getting all excited for the Summer games. Women's gymnastics here I come.

Lance is a Stud of the First Order.

I think it is interesting that he's talking about maybe not doing the tour next yet.

I also think it is a little funny/cute that Sheryl Crow is talking about how she is trying to convence him to let her get some of his 'assets' that are currently on ice.

Cycling is like any other sport, if you don't know what's going on, it's painfully boring. If you DO however it is not unlike a monster truck rally you'll b-b-b-b-buy the whole seat b-b-b-b-b-b-but you'll only need the edge-ge-ge-ge-ge.

Sure, Lance laid down the law this year and won by over 4 minutes... er... 4 mintues over 20 days of racing; I do believe in most cultures that is referred to as "excitement." Last year that margin over the German was only :61 seconds.

Not to mention the other "races" going on every day; stage wins, points competition, team competition, KOM...

...and you said something about no crashes? Obviously you don't watch cycling. If you did, you'd have noticed that for the first time ever EVERYONE was wearing a helmet due to the new UCI regulation. Why did they make this regulation... because three riders died last year in professional competition due to not wearing one.

I didn't see any major network moments of silence when Andrei Kivelev died, or black flags with his number on it... or Toby Kieth tribute songs. If you ask me, cycling takes its hits on the chin! Maybe you didn't know about the crashes because the real men, who wear brightly colored spandex, wipe off the blood, get back on the bike, and don't whine about it! wink wink
