it lives. a faint, barely detectable pulse, but a pulse nonetheless.
i don't know whether or not they have a pulse, but they do have interesting amounts of electrical energy carried along the xylem and phloem, and excessive mitochondrial activity in parts of their root structures, which leads me to believe they remember quite a lot. always listen to trees, they've been at this existence thing a lot longer than us.
i love redwoods most of all............. *sigh*
