so friday night treblah and i went to see MUTE MATH at the nokia times square theatre.
we won (or rather, tre won) free passes to the VIP seating area.
EPIC WIN!!!
that's right, VIP, bitches! drink service and everything. i tried to get a good shot from the balcony of the huge throng below us, but alas, no dice.
we proceeded to get completely trashed. like, shitfaced. fucking stoli blueberry and covert airport bottles of booze. i got yelled at for dancing too close to a table. (srsly? it's a fucking concert douchefag. chillax.)
what an amazing show. they were soooo good live!
BUT the coolest part was that i didn't cry at all. mute math carried me through a lot of shit this year, and i thought in my drunken nostalgia/melancholia i would lose my shit. it was also especially significant for me because my psychotic starfucker ex-fiancee introduced me to them, and i was terrified that i was going to bump into him there. thankfully tre and i had such a sweet and innocent tone going the whole night, i ended up feeling really joyful the whole time. we've come a long way, darling!
oh yeah. this is mute math. the drummer is what my friend the guido refers to as "quietly nasty".
saturday, i woke up in the boyfriends bed at a late hour, naked and ravenously hungry. the way all saturdays should start, IMHO. in what is apparently becoming a pattern for us, we grabbed some food, then spent the day tooling around a.c moore and home depot, spending money that we don't actually have on art supplies and tools. and for the second saturday in a row, we ended up at home being all adultish and couple-y. no going out and getting tanked. this is very odd. nice, but odd. *shrugs*
no matter, because tuesday he and i will be accompanying gonzoe and derceto to SKINNY PUPPY. yay for concerts! i'm very excited. i just hope married guy (who will be home from vacation by then) doesn't randomly decide to show up. since the show is also at nokia, i guess we will just have to try to win VIP seating again! lol.
oh yeah, home depot. the boyfriend got himself one of these!
(why yes, that IS a dewalt chop saw. and yes, we had a hell of a time convincing the employee in the saw dept that 14" blades for ferrous metals DO in fact, exist.)
and he bought me a present!!
laser guided scissors! i will be the envy of the whole shop with these!
it's nice to be involved in something so healthy again, it really is.
anyway... derceto is making baked mac and cheese for dinner and this little zoo is STARVING. smell ya later, kids!

I can't believe Skinny Puppy is playing!!! I have to try to go.
All in all sounds like a good weekend was had, happy for you. Laser guided scissors look like soo much fun. I would start cutting everything just to have an excuse to use them.
