Back from getting teeth pulled and an overnight stay at whitey ville. I went for a local anestetic, so I was awake the whole time, and it was trippy seeing and feeling the pressure of my teeth getting ripped out, and the sounds it made. The dentist slipped when he was trying to remove my first wisdom tooth and said that it's cause I got tough bones. That must explain why I've not had a broken bone yet. It sounded like a tree branch being torn out. The doctor gave me vicadin for the pain, hehe, it's making me happy, though it caused me to puke a few minutes ago. I was bleeding from the mouth all yesterday and it annoyed me when I had to spit every other second when I was reading. I finished Thycydides' History of the Pelepenesian War and started Henry Rollin's The First Five yesterday. I'm behind in my reading and really need to catch up.
1) What sort of surgeries and otehr injuries have you had the (dis)pleasure of going through or been afflicted with?
2) Who are some people you admire?
3) Would you rather have short term pain to get long term health, or short term health and an uncertin future?
my answers
1) only dental surgery. I've had to have my left ring finger stiched back on when I was 4 but that rotted off, I've suffered a few ankle sprains in high school, fucked up my right wrist in 2nd grade and stupped my right big toe in grade school all those were treated through home remedies and plenty of rest.
2) Henry Rollins, Glen Benton, FDR to name a few.
3) short term pain for long term health.
