One rainy night not long ago, I started remembering some of the strangest and most eerie dreams I've had over the years, and it inspired me to put them into words:
To the radon zone we're drawn
To the darkest space factory basement
Red needle of light
The Smokestack coal we burn
Rattle furnace pipes
Rusty casings stuffed with grey fiberglass
Concrete cave hidden in broken school
Floor lined with gravel, have to sneak around
Hundred feet under, it's a hundred feet high
Blue-green ocean, underground sky
Mineral cliffs white as talc, want to stay forever
Black knobs make electrocrackle hum
Paint worn away, layered, smothered old tolex
Radio tower dead, winds blow through
Cobwebs on dusty circuitry
Spiders in their holes
Everyone is gone
To the radon zone we're drawn
To the darkest space factory basement
Red needle of light
The Smokestack coal we burn
Rattle furnace pipes
Rusty casings stuffed with grey fiberglass
Concrete cave hidden in broken school
Floor lined with gravel, have to sneak around
Hundred feet under, it's a hundred feet high
Blue-green ocean, underground sky
Mineral cliffs white as talc, want to stay forever
Black knobs make electrocrackle hum
Paint worn away, layered, smothered old tolex
Radio tower dead, winds blow through
Cobwebs on dusty circuitry
Spiders in their holes
Everyone is gone
