Well, Saturday was super awesome fun! I went to my boyfriends' sisters' wedding. Angel looked the same unlike most brides, she hardly had any make up on and the only thing that really made her look like a bride was the dress and the curly hair....she didn't look much different, still pretty in her own natural way. It was great though for a few reasons....key elements that made Angel's Wedding great.
1) I got to see Dik (my bf) in a tux like thing and giggle and how uncomfortable he was
2) I looked pretty in pink (hair that is) and got more compliments than upturned noses
3) Everyone was gushing over my daughter and how adorable she was walking around in her little flower girl dress
4) I finally got to meet a lot of Dik's family members like his Grandma, his uncles, and I even got to see his dad again (I haven't seen him since two years ago).
5) I got to help decorate for the wedding too and Angel loved my idea with the pearls around the gazebo
The Reception!
1) Okay first off Eric (Dik's younger brother) danced with his sister Angel at which point he cried and hugged her tightly and it was sweet and sad and moving. Then he proceeded from there (after blubbering in front of everyone about how his baby sister had grown up so fast) he promtly downed a whole bottle of champagne and some other liquors. Eric was done for and luckily we got him to come home with us before he became a spectacle (although secretly I wish I had seen the events that might have happened).
2) The tossing of the bouquet was fabulous. Angel pulled me up there saying, "You aren't gonna get my brother to marry you if you don't try to catch the bouquet!" So I went up there to the front of the pile of girls and as soon as she counted to three I shoved as many of the girls out of my way as I could and it was like touch football, but with more force but not enough to be considered tackling. I grabbed the upper part of the bouquet and thought I was victorious, but then I realized another hand was beneath mine and I became aggitated and the girl and I began a horrific shoving match. We pushed and shoved and her hair whipped around and the battle was so fierce (all caught on tape mind you) and after a long battle of the babes (I thought it was kinda hot actually, the bitch even clawed my hand up a little and that was just fire, hot, sexy) the bouquet gave way and tore in half. She got one half and I got the other and we both jumped up and hugged one another and everyone in the reception hall were on their feet cheering and clapping and laughing their damn asses off. I really thought that skinny little doll face girl would have just let go after the first couple of shoves, I mean come on, I have survived more mosh pits and fist fights than that little cream puff for sure, but she clung to it like the last thread of a burning rope. Her name was Lizzy I found out after a big hug and she and I sat down to breathe deep and drink together like we had always been pals. It was certainly fun.
3) The dancing. Dik and I shared a lot of slow dances and I went up and shook my tail feathers with the rest of the young girls and had a ball (really liquoured up by this point) My daughter was dancing away to the fast songs and looking up in curiosity at all the couples during the slow songs....it was adorable. One of the slow songs Jade made her way over to Dik and I and said, "Mama!" with a sad little look on her little adorable face arms out stretched, I picked her up and cuddled her and she got to slow dance with her mom and dad, it was a Kodak moment.
4) The Drive Home. Wow, this was a hilarious time as well. It was Dik, myself, little Mike (he's 20 and the son of Big Mike), Eric (the drunk younger brother), Alice (the youngest of Dik's three) and Jade (my daughter). We got lost and were headed toward Michigan City. So we stop at a Mc D's to ask directions at which Eric stated he drank too much (which we all knew) and he didn't feel well. We waited long enough for him to finish his smoke and then we took off, there was a meddian in the middle of the street that Dik didn't see and we almost hit it before I screamed, "No, that's the median! You're gonna hit it!" then he stopped in the middle of the two lanes and I said "you're going down the wrong way on a one way dufus!" so he did an illegal U turn and Eric moaned and groaned about feeling sick which was hilarious! Then we finally get on the right path toward home and everything was going swimmingly until Eric asked us to pull over because he was definately going to hurl. We pull off to the side of the Interstate and Eric stumbles out of the car and vomits in the soft valley grass. We made fun of the noises he was making and tunred the music off just so we could here his suffering (again hilarious!) After about 10 minutes we said, "enough man, we gotta get home and get these kids and appearantly you, to bed." he wiped the vomit from the corners of his mouth on his sweaty shirt and wobbled back to the van. As he opened the door he said, "Nah, guys I can't" and stumbled back down to the grassy valley near the side of the road. Eric then fell down into the tall grass and little Mike and I had to get out of the van to locate the poor drunk asshole. He wasn't passed out, he was just laying there laughing and kept repeating "I fell down guys! I fell down, but I'm okay. I'm okay guys, it's cool." We helped poor slobbering drunk Eric back to the van and loaded him in (That was histarical I thought I was gonna piss all over my pretty dress!) We made it home with no more stops and Eric passed out on the living room floor instantly with a trash can near his head just in case. It was priceless!
So in short, I had a great time at Angel's wedding and I will be posting pictures soon. Well, that's it for now.
