Terminal 5 NYC NIN
It didn't feel right to wave goodbye to Nine Inch Nails on the last tour. Opening act on your last tour with less stage time, it felt wrong. That all changed with the last shows in the US, One out of four is what I came out with and was damn happy to score a ticket.
The golden ticket to the chocolate factory. Every time I've seen them, there has always been someone there to enjoy the ride. Times are rough. I had to go alone
Halfway through the show as I look around me. As everyone is saying their goodbyes it dawned on me that my first Nine Inch Nails concert was at Hammerstein Ballroom. With teeth was about to come out and the shows were the first shows played since they dissipated back into the air the last couple of years. I'm saying goodbye in a ballroom. Surreal is an understatement to how the night was.
The show was amazing, lights to induce seizures, music to explode your ear drums without being bothered by it. Very nice selection from all the albums with some concentration on lesser played songs from Downward Spiral and The Fragile. He really knew how to rub salt in the wound.
I'll stop myself here and continue some place else but it felt right this time waving goodbye knowing that now...I will really have to wait some years before they come back. I had a nice run since the "With Teeth" era. I'll be here waiting. You bet your sweet ass on that one.
Vanilla milkshake would be boss right now. Fuck.
Physical therapy in five hours. Fuck.
Coma afterwards!!! Sweet.
I was going to post a shit load of videos to further bring it home but am just exhausted I tells you.

Dude!! The show was AMAZING!!! I agree, it was a nice selection of songs from all albums. I also felt this was the show for me to say goodbye...I have some closer but still a little bitter, I'm sure he will do collaborations and side projects in the meantime, but waiting a few years to see them again live kinda hurts. I made sure to enjoy every sweet minute and rocked out to the full extent! Glad you were there to enjoy it!! Come to think of it, I think my first time to see NIN was at Hammerstein Ballroom for the first leg of With Teeth. How crazy is that?? Can't wait to see your videos from the show! Good luck with physical therapy!
