It has been a bit of a long time since I last updated.. I got back to Australia on Saturday after a hellish flight and was back at work on Sunday. I haven't quite kicked my jet lag yet but we'll see if the next couple of days improve.
Going home was a lot harder then I thought it was going to be. I pretty much left home when I was 15 so I've grown used to the idea that stuff changes while you're away and it isn't always a bad thing but this time I was gone for a year and a half. We've had serious water problems, no municipal water for 10 months. We had to buy a large water tank that we buy water to fill. Our garden can't be watered because all this water needs to be conserved for use in the house. Thankfully before I left the parents drilled a borehole and now it seems we will be set for water for a good long while.
Otherwise things are pretty much how I remember them. My sister and I get on really well when we are on separate continents but not so much when we are in the same room. I did get to do some cool stuff when I was home, the gorge swing, driving a 4X4 like a lunatic, photographing hyenas and pulling a tuft of hair from a lion. That was all good and fine but I did miss being able to shower whenever I liked
The main reason I went home is cause we were all concerned that my mum might have the big C but thankfully it was just a scare. A bloody big scare and it made me appreciate my time with my mum all the more
Tonight I watched Die Hard with my flatmate Cheri. Her boyfriend is in Singapore and she misses him terribly. I am a social cripple. Between us we make nearly one normal person so we could safely watch a film filled with explosions and death. It was rather good.
Tomorrow I am headed into Perth to pick up the fourth volume of The Boys. I am also supposed to be giving a guitar lesson. I have no idea why this girl wants to come to me as I am self-taught and have no idea what I will teach her but its free and I can probably teach her for a few weeks before she needs to seek out a pro.
I hope everyone else is well
xo

I have been dealing with that with my mom, and it's a fucking terrible thing.
Post the hyena photos!
