This has been a good weekend. It started on Friday with a friend's birthday. We played many drinking games (which I couldn't participate in but were still fun to watch) and gifts were given. Even though I've only really known these guys for a couple of months they are still much closer to me than my old friends.
Anyhoo on Saturday we made Callum really work for his other birthday presents with a fiendish scavenger hunt which saw him not only have to chat up a sex toy salesperson but also serenade an olive purveyor. Both had been briefed beforehand on what to expect. It was also Free Comic Book Day which was a geek heaven for us as we got many free comic books to go with the extremely expensive ones we purchased.
While we're on the subject of money it seems that I fall below the poverty line at the moment. So far below in fact that homeless people have been offering me a place to sleep and some spare change if I need it. This was rather an alarming discovery and prompted further investigationing. It seems that the Australian Government not only charges me $14,000 per semester (not including the mandatory Health Insurance charge) but also rather likes to take a healthy piece out of my income. A very healthy piece that I would rather like to get back. Anyone know how I can get money back from the AusGovernment? Preferably through a tax return but I do have a ski mask if that option is not going to work.
Aside from money woes I have had a decent Sunday and will hopefully get an early nights sleep. Hope everyone is having a good weekend
