Saturday night (Australian time) was the Royal Wedding of Harry and Megan.
As a citizen that is part of the British empire, I was very excited to see this beautiful event. I had some friends over, we lit a small bon fire (it's winter over here) had some champagne and a traditional English meal. We all enjoyed ourselves and took great pleasure in judging the horrid and fabulous hats worn by the various royals and celebrities alike. Overall it was a great occasion to celebrate.
What I found rather appalling was the social media response from Americans. This was a union of A Black female American celebrity to British nobility and yet there was so much hate and disrespect flying about. it was just down right rude.
In a world that has so much bad going on (don't even get me started on those poor kids that got slaughtered by another! school shooting) You would think this would be just the occasion to reflect on a simple message of love and peace towards fellow humans. The Queen of American, Opera was their and she loved it and had a fantastic hat.
Shame on the people who had such a negative view on the whole occasion, you words of hate mean nothing to the strength of the British empire. I will avoid stooping to their level with political attacks on America, as the Americans I know are nice people, but seriously some of you need to pull your heads out of your asses and just give more love and less hate.
It's a very simple message
