*In a very gruff & manly voice* Happy V-day Dude. Sorry I didn't get ya any flowers n chocolates ;-)

WBVA should have it, I'm going to download a rip of it this afternoon I think --- we are on it, despite them using the air camera far too much it seems. Yeah, everyone seems to be in consensus that it was a massive fuck up and that the fight will likely be called a no contest. I just hope Rances gets an immediate rematch, since he beat the fucking shit out of Mendez and likely would have won the strap that night. I love how I can't go to a title/major event fight that doesn't have some controversy (Alexander/Bradley, Abraham/Dirrell). Apparently I brought the Detroit boxing bad luck with me on this one. As to Tyson, this is what I will say. I don't know Kareem's history or what not, and bringing a ball or something to the set is not the same as having an actual meet and greet (which you pay an extra hundred dollars for). If you purposely arrange for a meet and greet and then give people little to no instructions than that's on him and his promotional team and staff and it was completely bungled. He was apparently fucking up and getting irritated all week but I'd say, this is what you want to do, be a professional about it. This is business. This isn't someone annoying him during a fight (security was under strict guidelines to get everyone the fuck out, we sat behind them and no one bugged him at all) or coming up to him at a dinner with his son or something (which I completely understand and would be miffed too), this is a specific event in which the entire point is meeting Tyson. You don't want to sign things and want to do pictures? Then fucking say so, so you don't have tons of disappointed people (and more importantly kids). That's the only bit for me. Teddy Atlas stayed because he loves the sport and likes mingling with fans, and he was great. He did it last time and he doesn't have to do that. I don't expect Tyson to do that, it would be way too much of a clompfest, so I would understand him denying autographs or what have you then, but not at an officially sanctioned and more importantly PAID FOR event. The entire night I think it was more his crew and the target center that ran things, and for me it was by far the worst and most disorganized fight card I've been to in this state. Had the regular promotional company been in charge we would have known ahead of time what was going to happen, what was not, where our actual fucking line started (even the refs didn't know where to go, nor did ESPN to start....) we would have had fight cards as usual and not send an acquaintance's wife all the way up to the Wolves front office to get them to print them off. She volunteered, and her trek then apparently became the Oregon trail, so I bought her and her husband drinks since she was so nice to grab all of us one and to go to that kind of effort --- her husband is a manager up in Duluth so it's important for him to have those too.

I was seriously getting concerned that Texas would hire Briles for a minute, and I was doing pushups to train for the moment when I properly threw my arms in the air in despair. I'm in a good mood tonight, hah.
