Losing My Religion
________________

Life is bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no I've said too much
I set it up

That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do...

Have you seen the movie Zoolander? Well everytime I hear george michael or WHAM! I think of that scene where they play wake me up before you go-go.
rickroyal:
Metropolis is, indeed, still a classic in its current form. One only wonders what it must've been like while complete. I'd certainly like to know more about the Thin Man.

heh. I always did rather like Idlewild. "Let Me Sleep (Next to the Mirror)" and "Actually It's Darkness" are great songs.

well then don't get on me for express my opinion of something i disagreed with. that's really unfair.

I hate all things predictible...I rather someone keep me guess and not knowing what to expect, even though it drives me insane sometimes...but then again at least they are getting some kind of reaction where as someone predictable just makes me glaze over and go blank.

ahhh..Bernie Taupin. Yes, amazing! I was also blown away when I picked up a copy of Songs (a book of lyrics) by Bruce springsteen. I am not a fan of his music but the lyrics blew me away. He can write extremely well, keeps the lyrics flowing, from beginning to end and some of the songs are very long.

Thank you for the Chemical bros. link. I love the flaming lips so I checked it out. Great stuff!

Writing is a very meditative process for me. Little food, lots of coffee, even less sleep, almost no human interaction. Just me locked in a room with my mind and the constant, urging hum from my laptop. It's like waking from a fugue, I count the coffee cups and cigarette butts to figure out how many days have gone by.

"Naked. Isn't that a beautiful word?"

So says Laura Dern to John Cusak in the WWII period film "Fat Man and Little Boy". Of course the great irony is that the film is actually about the making of the first atomic bombs, and I believe one or both of their characters ends up getting fried by radiation later in the film, before they ever have...

Back in the summer of 1997 I was Co-Producing an indepent feature film called "Lie Down With Dogs". I wrote this during some down time on the set, and found it again the other day- it was the first time I'd seen it in years. It's interesting the things my mind comes up with when its main focus is on something completely different. Anyway, I...
