Sooooo, why the hell is it SO difficult to meet people?

Ok, maybe I worded that incorrectly. I suppose, what I meant to say...is...why is it so hard to meet people who are on the same page as I am?

Now I know many of you who know me on here are thinking: "dude, you know me...why don't we hang out?". Well...let me further refine my statement...or, I could pretty much just put out a broad profile of what/who it is I want/need to meet.

I need someone with brain, first and foremost. I refuse to deal with anyone who can't stimulate my intellect. You see...I need someone who will "stimulate my intellect as well as my loins". Kudos to you if you know what that quote is from! But yeah, I'm serious though.

Secondly, I need someone who is...well...SINGLE! Many of you I speak to are taken...and that is WONDERFUL...I'm completely and sincerely happy for you. But how could I possibly develop any connection with someone who is already connected?

And third, I need someone who has similar interests. I've tried talking to different types of people, from all walks of life. But if you just don't have things in common...there really is nowhere to go with any form of relationship. I like a lot of things...but I have to admit, I absolutely love bumming around and watching movies, talking about philosophy, going to get coffee, shooting pool, playing video games, etc. I'm not the type to go out and party every night, or every weekend. I'm also not the go-to-guy to figure out what's going down this weekend (or any weekend). I try to think of things to do...but could use a little assistance in that department.

And lastly, I suppose it'd be nice to meet someone who was on the same page as me...but who could suggest "hey, let's try this" or "hey, I would like to do this today". I'm tired of going everywhere I want to go. Honestly, lol. I really want to get to know this person. And the best way to get to know someone is to learn what it is they like, what they think, and what they've been through. So talk to me, I'm ready to listen!!!! UGH!!! Can you sense the frusteration?

To sum it up, I suppose I need someone who is intelligent (in some forms...doesn't have to be all forms), single, has similar interests, and who will be open with me. Honestly, ladies and gents, is this too much to ask for???
