this morning at work i was running a lyme/ehrlichia test and staring at a poster with pictures of parasites. as i mixed the conjugate and sample, i found myself looking closely at a line drawing of a louse and thinking "it was different when i was a louse. it was more like tron." the thought process was totally subconcious though and i didn't remember it happening at all until an hour later or so. at the moment it popped into my concious mind, i almost blurted out "do lice have souls? i think i was a louse in a past life!" but then i thought i might get into an argument about whether or not parasites have souls and can be part of the reincarnation process and that seemed like a little too much for a saturday morning.
