Another chapter ends in my story it feels.
I originally moved to NYC to be closer to my college friends and experience another city than Baltimore. One by one they have all left, the final being this week. Off to Jersey, San Francisco, and South Carolina. So they have all moved on to what's next and here I am about to look for a new apt with nobody I know worth living with. Hopefully I've got a deal in the works through a coworker, but we'll see. I'm trying not to get excited until I have reason to.
Apts in NY are excruciating unless you randomly get lucky or can split rent with bros or hos. It's either live in areas that are not ideal, live with people that are CRAZY, or pay a fuckton (which nobody can afford). Not to mention most everything is run through brokers, so there's a month thrown right into the garbage.
But hey, I'm not dwelling on this shit these days.
Currently I'm in a good place: about to move to a new apt, wherever that is.
Spring is finally showing itself with sunshine and promise of fun times in Central Park.
Caught up with friends I haven't seen in a while this week.
Work is slow but steady so I'm not killing myself. I came up with a cocktail and called it a Snapdragon for work. It has Aperol, Grand Marnier, St. Germain, and champagne. So it's red/orange and resembles the flower since a flute glass is shaped similar. People seem to dig it.
I watched Hustle and Flow for the first time. That shit was hilarious. Everyone's got to have a dream for real though
Stay positive everybody.

All of my friends seem to have scattered to the wind over the last few years. Try not to think of it as a loss so much I having gained that many more places where you have a couch to crash on when you need to get away.
