So, I'm finally going to try to blog! Let me know what you think, and feel free to give this ADHD almost 40 year old some direction.
In the past 6 months or so I've been seeing a therapist... Nothing new for me- I've been doing it off and on since I was in the second grade (I am a rather confused individual *snicker*). But...

Well, for someone who professes to maybe be a tad ADHD, you seem to have a very fluid and well put together writing style. As for setting dates to accomplish certain things, that's basically just goal setting, and there's probably a place for it in certain situations, but I would be skeptical about it with regard to writing or even metal smithing? Those are more creative goals, and I really can't see how you can jam creativity into a set schedule? As for getting back into the field, I would suspect that is something you could frame into a workable schedule, but with the understanding that it would most probably interfere with the other goals you've set for yourself. I'm 52 years old, and I've done a whole lot of stuff in my life. I achieved the goal of opening my own business, but not before I spent a long time working for other people to learn my craft. I'm also writing a book, which is about two years in the works. It's something I do for enjoyment, not something I feel overwhelmed to complete within a certain time frame. Goals are a good thing, and I wouldn't discourage you from having them. BUT your goals should bring you satisfaction, not stress you out....ya know?

Take Care,
Woody

Great first blog!

However, I am of the school...I am going to procrastinate tomorrow....

I will get stuff done, but I purposefully, most of the time, leave the time frame to fate....For example, I do have a goal of around Christmas to have a housewarming party, and I will get there, but the time frame is flexible and will be accomplished a little bit at a time....
