So, we made it through XMas/Weinachten and the weekend.
We went to visit Kera's host family outside of Stuttgart on Sat. Pretty fun as they love to test my usage of German in spite of the fact that they all speak nearly flawless English. I was given Kudo's for my usage before I left. Sun. night we went to Sara and Christian's apartment for a Tex-Mex Xmas dinner. We fixed margaritas and some strawberry concontion as well.
By the end of the evening we were all pretty toasty. The food and friendship were great though. Sunday, we went down to Garmisch to go XC skiing and see the town. Our friend Kit took us out skiing and beyond my inability to grasp the concept of skate skiing, we had a good time.
He also took us down to the PX to look around. Very, very fucking weird to here English spoken all around me again. Weird in a way that I don't really like. I have to say that I'm really enjoying the German lifestyle (food, traditions, life in general) and don't have a large interest in returning to the States at this point. Obviously, that may change at some point.
Hope everyone had a great holiday. Looking forward to the new year... 2006. Wow... at some point next year I'll have to find a job or create one to keep my sanity, but it ought to be a fun search.
Oh, my favorite new gift for Xmas...
Laek House - messenger inspired clothes My honey rocks!! She said that I don't ask for much, so when I do, she thought that she ought to get it for me. Isn't that awesome?!
Stay well until my next post..
