All I have to say is let's give it up for Ladybird Johnson. If you have never been to south Texas in the spring, you are missing out. The wild flowers are blooming, every thing is 900 different shades of green and the sun was shining this afternoon.
(For those of you who don't know, Ladybird Johnson (wife of pres. johnson) made a really big deal about planting wildflowers along all of the roads in Texas, so this time of year the whole countryside is awash with color.)
