These are examples of common playground equipment for schools when I grew up. The seesaws were ok, until the person on the other end jumped off, leaving you to crash into the ground jolting your spine. The slide was ok, unless the sun was shining, and then it was a molten slide of fire. The edges really couldn't stop you from falling off either. The fun with the merry-go-round was the older kids spinning it so fast that kids flew off because they couldn't hang on anymore. Not really sure what the one with the chains was called, but if you went fast enough in a circle, it lifted you up pretty high. Never really saw the one in the black and white photo. I think it was before my time.
