I now find myself in Honduras, at the sire of this country's most impressive Mayan ruins.

I'm also at a bit of a crossroads and not sure which way to go. I could go northeast to the Honduran coast for Caribbean beaches and islands; south into El Salvador, where I'd eventually find surfer beach towns; or east, along a route of quaint colonial towns, before reaching Nicaragua. Which way would you go?
