I seem to be focusing a hell of a lot of attention on this one particular Suicide Girl, and why the hell not? She lives in a tent next to me.
Last night we went up on the hill near the river and got these photos of her smoking, drinking bourbon and playing banjo – she doesn't actually know how to play it yet – when she does learn, we'll shoot a full SG set with the banjo.
It's really my banjo. I don't know how to play it either; I inherited it from my late grandfather. It's a Ludwig Kingston 4-string tenor banjo, and he bought it at the age of 18, in 1928, making it 87 years old. Still plays beautifully though.
The bourbon is Bulleit from Kentucky. I picked it up yesterday, and although I've never tried it before, we both found it really smooth and good.
Anyhow, in about three weeks I'll depart the Yukon and head south, alone, to Saskatchewan, where the plan is to buy a camper van (vehicle insurance there is ridiculously cheap) and then spend about three weeks touring around Western Canada doing photo shoots – there are about 20 Suicide Girls and Hopefuls I want to shoot.
Then @Felynx will join me again and we'll go out to the coast and spend the fall surfing, followed by travel in Central America for the winter. Sounds like a decent plan, doesn't it?
