Last night was great. Was planning on about six people showing up - turned into many, many more. Fun was had by all - though no one fell for my "chop-my-wood-for-the-winter-a-stack-it-neatly-on-the-back-porch" drinking game.

Heh. Yeah. I feel the same way after being here for less than six months. There are some really cool people. There are also some folks who spend way too much fucking time around here and treat the place like a goddamned sorority. Cat fights, reputation, buncha BS. I've never felt particularly free to cut loose in any of the conversations, especially about politics. Express the wrong opinion or piss off the wrong person, and you're out.
If I didn't dig the pics, I'd probably just mouth off and get zotted. But the hope that Stormy or Voltaire will post another set makes me just sit back, and enjoy the few friends I have made - I met Hotpockets for a beer not too long ago - and just chill.
I wish other people would do likewise.
My personal life pretty much sucks right now. I try not to think about it too often, or complain. I'll give you a call. Let me know when you're back in P-town.

Yes, I am still alive - though very distracted lately. Today was a wipeout-the-hard-drive-and-start-from-scratch day. I have hated it since I moved here but stayed for my kids so they can be near their Dad. but they are in their mid-teens now and I have had enough of the nasty florida weather. I grew up in NJ outside of Philly. I've been thinking about the Pacific N.W. for sometime now. I'm a freak-I love the rain.
As for places to live there. Well right now I am in love with this old house boat. It's in Rocky Point? It will need work but I don't mind that. The price is right too. I own my house(completely paid for) so I'll have the cash to buy and moving expences.
Besides thx to this site, I have already made a couple of friends up there.
