Story of the day.....................
Hey everyone. WOW! It is hard to believe that Pete and I just had our One Year anniversary on Sunday
It seems like only yesterday that this happened:

What a first year together I tell you!!! I know that people say the first year of marriage is the hardest and all I can respond to that with is NO SHIT!!!!
I hate to recap the year but it feels better to just talk it out. Now where to start????
1. December 2006 - shortly after the wedding (as in days) I manage to get pregnant right away
2. January - at 7 weeks into the pregnancy with what Doctors believe to be twins, we suffered a spontanious miscarriage that is believed to be a result of one of the babies not developing properly
3. February - with Pete back to work at his base in China Lake, CA and myself on leave from work to deal with things I spend 3 weeks with my parents. Some times Mom and Dad are still needed even at the age of 29
4. March - during my last day working as a Crash Response Flight Medic, 2 of my pilot friends decide to eject out of their air craft while it was still on the ground. Both walked away thankfully
5. April - I said good bye to my military career in order to prepare to move to the United States to be with and support PiratePete
6. May/June - spent 2 months with my family until it was time to move.
7. July - Pete flew to Canada and we drove from Red Deer, Alberta Canada to Oceanside, CA to our new home.
8. August/Sept/Oct - I find myself homesick, lonely, frustrated, depressed, scared and a bunch of other emotions trying to adjust to life in the States while Pete is away in school most of the time.
9. November - turning 30 has me very upset but thanks to Pete, my Birthday turns out to be one of the best EVER!
10. December - plans to fly home to Canada fall through when money becomes an issue thanks to the military forcing us to pay for housing when it is their job to supply it to their Soldiers and Sailors. Tragedy strikes the family when Petes brother-in-law (whom I never got to meet) passes away thus cancelling Christmas here in California. One year has passed by already and we are eger to start year #2
So as you can see - I think that it wouldn't be a bad thing to ask Santa for a great 2008 this Christmas
Some future plans of ours include a baby (if all goes right), a job for me (finally), my first attempt at "So You Think You Can Dance" this year, possibly a trip home to Canada and the bad plan of the year.........Iraq for Pete in July. At least we can prepare for it now. Not like it comes as a shock to the both of us since that is why we sign the dotted line when we enlist.
Oh - one more thing before I go..............PETE DID IT!!!!!! - Here is the happy little Sailor on his Grad day from Field Med School:

WOW - that was a long ramble of a journal
My question to you.........."What are YOU asking Santa for this Christmas???"

Yes of course there's pics of the two of us together. They are rare since one of us is usually taking the pic, but I do have some. I'll work on sending you some very soon.
Love you.
